The Law School at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) is the leading Finnish academic institution in the area of climate change, energy, natural resources, and environmental law. UEF hosts the Centre for Climate Change, Energy and Environmental Law (CCEEL), a research hub with 80 senior and junior researchers. CCEEL provides the widest array of postgraduate teaching on climate change, environmental and energy law in Finland, including two specialised Master’s Programmes in Environmental Law. Since 2004 the UEF has been organizing an annual courses on international environmental law-making and diplomacy, working in partnership with the UN Environment Programme. CCEEL hosts numerous research projects with funding from Horizon 2020, the Finnish Strategic Research Council and the Academy of Finland.
