Call for Papers for ECPR Congress is now open!
The General Conference is a prestigious global stage that promotes innovative thinking, facilitates rich discussions and nurtures the development of research across all sub-disciplines of political science. Having brought together over 2,000 scholars in Innsbruck and online for the 2022 General Conference, the 2023 event will take place in the historic city of Prague, at Charles University.

Section 22: Energy Politics: Governing Transition in an Uncertain World
Key themes:

- Conflict and cooperation in energy politics
- Changing narratives in energy policy
- Continuity and change in energy politics
- Legitimacy and acceptance of disruptive policy and technological innovations

Section 60: Towards Carbon Neutrality: Decarbonization, Energy Transition and the Challenges of Climate Action
Key themes:
- Climate politics (actors, interests, institutions, governance and regulation)
- Climate justice, equity and democracy (participation, inclusion, acceptance, opposition)
- Global climate governance (norms, rules, regimes, clubs)
- The changing international landscape of decarbonization (spread of fossil fuel phase out pledges and coalitions, emergence of a post-fossil world order)
