Postdoctoral Researcher on climate action

Dr. Max Jungmann is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Heidelberg University’s Climate Action Science project and the CEO of Momentum Novum, a sustainability consultancy based in Heidelberg and Quito.

He holds a PhD in political science and his research focuses on the knowledge action gap in the context of climate change as well as international climate policy, the climate change-health nexus, and the United Nations’ sustainability agenda. He teaches seminars at the Chair of International Relations and Foreign Policy at Heidelberg University, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the Steinbeis Business Academy (SBA), the Steinbeis Institute for International Business and Entrepreneuership, and at the German Foreign Office. He was previously the Executive Manager of the Heidelberg Center for the Environment (HCE), is a Climate Reality Leader, and was a Volunteer and Senior Staff Member with the National Model United Nations New York for more than seven years.
