He is the head of the MU energy policy research program. His research interests include European energy policy, the socio-economic transformation of European coal regions, or the role of large corporations in energy transition. He has published in the discipline’s leading journals including Energy Research and Social Science or Energy Policy. He led several research projects, including the Czech Science Foundation’s “Participation on local opposition: the case of lignite mining” or the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “The impact of Energiewende on the Czech energy industry”.
At the Department, Filip is responsible for program development of the “International Relations and Energy Security”, a two-year master’s program in Czech.
