Vacancy: Assistant Professor, Department of International Relations and European Studies

Job Summary  

• supervision of bachelor and master theses;
• participation in pedagogical, research and organisational activities of the department;
• publication of results of scientific research activities

• teaching in Czech (or Slovak) and English at the Bachelor's and Master's level;

  Please note: While knowledge of Czech or Slovak is an advantage, it's not a red line—there’s plenty to contribute even without knowledge of the local language.

Requirements: 

• acceptance of the social role to which Masaryk University subscribes;
• Ph.D. in European Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or in a related field (economics, sociology, environmental and climate studies, public policy, security-related fields);
• Areas of focus for teaching and research - energy policy in the international context, energy security in the international context;
• relevant publications in the field according to the M17+;
• proven international experience;
• proven experience in grant projects;
• ability to lecture in Czech (Slovak) and English;
• ability to work as a team
