Jonas is an early-career researcher at Ghent University's Department of Public Governance, funded by Research Foundation Flanders (FWO Vlaanderen). As an advocate of sustainable transformation, his research interests centre around the political and social aspects of governing the transition toward sustainability. For his PhD-project, he explores the tensions between urgency and justice in sustainability transitions, and the potential of democratic innovations to reconcile them.
