Dr. Ilina Cenevska is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, North Macedonia, teaching in the areas of EU Institutional Law, EU Environmental Law and Policy, and EU Free Movement Law. Her research engages with cross-cutting topics of (European and EU) environmental, climate, and energy law, environmental democracy, and environmental and climate justice.

She has authored numerous scientific publications in the foregoing subject areas, including the monograph ‘The European Atomic Energy Community in the European Union Context: The Outsider Within’ (published with Brill | Nijhoff), which explores, inter alia, the legal dimension of the environmental impacts stemming from the use of nuclear energy.

She has taken part in various international and national research projects, most recently as the Macedonian coordinator for the Erasmus+ project ‘Modernising European Legal Education’.  

Together with her students, she runs the blog ‘Green Initiative’, chronicling global, European, and domestic developments in environmental and climate law and policy.
