The overarching theme in Helene Dyrhauge’s research is sustainable transitions mainly seen as energy transition and sustainable transport policies, where she is interested in how new ideas emerge and influence policy development, especially to what extent these new ideas are able to challenge existing dominating ideas and thereby create policy change ultimately leading to sustainability transition.
Empirically, Dr. Dyrhauge focuses on EU transport policy and the challenges of decarbonization as well as broader discussions of future mobilities. Dr Dyrhauge has contributed with chapters on Transport Policy, climate policy and sustainability transitions in multiple edited volumes and published in journals.
Dr Dyrhauge’s other empirical field is Danish climate and energy policy mainly in the context of the climate leadership, where she has several articles and chapters about the Danish energy transition.
Recently Dr Dyrhauge together with Kristina Kurze co-edited a book “Making the European Green Deal work: EU Sustainability at home and abroad” that addresses both challenges and opportunities for implementing the European Green Deal in member states and through EU external relations.
