Dr Frank Wendler (PhD 2005) is a Senior Researcher at the University of Hamburg, where he works as the Lead for the research project "Political Spaces of Climate Governance", funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG). His main research interests focus on the evolution of the EGD governance framework, processes of framing and agenda-setting on climate change, the evolution of political contestation and legislative politics in relation to the EGD, and comparative perspectives on climate policy in the EU and US as contrasting cases of multi-level governance. His most recent work includes the monograph “Framing Climate Change in the EU and US after the Paris Agreement” (Palgrave, 2022), and the forthcoming volume “Climate Agendas and Instability. Green Recovery Programs in the EU and US” (Routledge Focus Series, forthcoming in 2024). His previous work has covered dynamics of change in EU multi-level governance and political contestation of EU policy-making in a multi-level perspective, with a focus on national parliaments. He has held positions at the universities of Maastricht (Netherlands), at Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt am Main and the University of Washington in Seattle (USA).
