Amandine Orsini is Professor of International Relations at the Université Saint-Louis – Bruxelles (USL-B), in Belgium, where she is the director of the Research Center in Political Science (CReSPo). Amandine specializes in global environmental politics. She is Jean Monnet Chair EUGLOBALGREEN (2022-2025) with a project on the European Union external policy in the age of the Anthropocene. She is also the principal investigator of the YOUTH EARTH FSR-FNRS project (2021-2024) on youth participation in the international negotiations on climate change, biodiversity and sustainable development issues. She is also a member of the Jean Monnet centre of excellence EUNMUTE (2022–2025) on unmuting minority voices in the European Union, and in particular its research package on the environment.
Amandine has published extensively on environmental issues including three books in 2020 EU environmental governance: current and future challenges (London: Routledge), Essential Concepts of Global Environmental Governance (Abingdon: Routledge), Global Environmental Politics: Understanding the Governance of the Earth (Oxford: Oxford University Press). Her recent open access publications include The Rise of Belgium as a Multilateral Climate-Security Actor: Analysis of Evolving Climate and Security Policies (2009–2021) (book chapter) and European Leadership and European Youth in the Climate Change Regime Complex (article)
